50 keymilwaukee.com MILWAUKEE OKTOBERFEST Downtown October 5-7 The 9th Annual Milwaukee Oktoberfest will be the first event staged on the plaza in front of Fiserv Forum, the new home for the Milwaukee Bucks. The festival includes a variety of polka bands from around the Midwest and a nightly concert when the sun goes down. Weekend activities include a Bags Tournament, Weiner Dog Show, 5th Annual Miss Oktoberfest Competition, Brat Eating Contest, Stein Hoisting Competition, and more. Admission is free and open to the public. All guests at Oktoberfest must be 21 or accompanied by an adult. MilwaukeeOktoberfest.com Plaza outside of Fiserv Forum MILWAUKEE'S STRONG GERMAN HERITAGE means lots of Oktoberfest parties OKTOBERFEST MILWAUKEE Glendale Sept. 28-29 & Oct. 5-6 This family-friendly event is op- erated by the Bavarian Bierhaus with the Bavarian Soccer Club and features six beers on tap – four in-house brews: Oktoberfest, Dunkel, Hefeweizen, and Pilsner – and two German imports: Spaten Oktoberfest and Weihen- stephan Original Lager. Enjoy German brass bands, folk dancing, singing and dancing. Foods available for purchase include Spanferkel, Grillhendle, Wurst on pretzel roll, Rollbraten and assorted authentic German desserts.
