New Products & Packaging N Pernod Ricard USA has launched a new addition to its Kahlua portfolio with the debut of Kahlua Midnight, a 70 proof mix of rum and black coffee liqueur. The taste profile is said to be smooth and bold (from the black coffee) with a slight sweetness. The new expression is positioned to take advantage of the increasing appeal of coffeeflavored products and is meant to be served chilled. Kahlua Midnight has a suggested retail price of $23.99 for a 750 ml bottle. N Sutter Home has added a Pink Pinot Grigio and a Red Moscato to its extensive lineup of wines. The new Sutter Home Pink Pinot Grigio, very similar to an off-dry rosè, is made from grapes carefully selected from California's premium Pinot Grigio producing vineyards, the company says. On the palate, strawberries and white peach balance well with the Pink Pinot Grigio's crisp acidity, creating a refreshing, off-dry finish. Sutter Home Red Moscato combines California Moscato and Merlot. The Red Moscato is rich with strawberry and cherry aromas and lingering sweet berry fruit and rose notes on the palate, the company says. N Aveniu Brands has released two new wines from Bodegas Bilbainas the largest vineyard owner in Haro, the capital of the Rioja Alta region. The Viña Pomal Crianza 2009 offers classic Rioja character combined with modern oenology. Made from 100% tempranillo and aged 12 months in American oak, it is dark crimson in color, with aromas and flavors of red berries, sweet spices and soft tannins. The Zaco 2010, also made from 100% tempranillo, offers fresh red berries, notes of licorice and undertones of spice. Both wines have a suggested retail price of $15. N Celebrated Chef Wolfgang Puck's eponymous wine label, Wolfgang Puck Wines, has added a red wine blend to its lineup of four varietal wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc). Available at select retail locations across the country, the wines are created by the Indelicato family, owners of California's DFV Wines. Crafted for accessibility, the wines average $14.99 a bottle suggested retail. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bottle generously donated to the Keep Memory Alive Foundation (KMA) which raises awareness and funds in support of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. N Portón, the ultra-premium pisco from Peru, has launched a 375 ml bottle, which is a replica of the signature 750 ml Portón and will continue to be imprinted with a handwritten batch and bottle number. The 375 ml bottle is available at select retailers nationwide for a retail price of $24.99. N Babco Imports has launched Mickey Finn Irish Apple Flavored Whiskey into the U.S. The new spirit is a blend of Irish and American whiskies with natural Irish apple flavors, blended in The Netherlands. Adding to the burgeoning flavored whiskey segment in the U.S., Mickey Finn is 70 proof and has a suggested retail price of $24.99 for a 750 ml bottle.
