N 35 Maple Street, the spirits division of The Other Guys (TOG),
has launched Kirk and Sweeney
Rum, a handcrafted, 12-year-old
premium liquor. The brand is
named after a wooden schooner
best known for smuggling rum from
the Caribbean to the Northeast
United States during Prohibition.
The rum is made in the Dominican
Republic and aged for 12 years in
American oak barrels. Its packaging
– featuring a raised cork in low-set
bottle – was inspired by short, round 18th-century bottles, the company says. Kirk and Sweeney Rum retails
for $40 per 750 ml bottle, and joins Uncle Val's
Botanical Gin and Masterson's Straight Rye
Whiskey in the 35 Maple Street portfolio.
N Trinchero Family Estates has
debuted Echo Bay Sauvignon
Blanc from New Zealand, made
from 100% sauvignon blanc, with a
Marlborough appellation and a
suggested retail price of $12.99.
The wine's grapes are gently coldfermented in stainless steel, the
company says. Citrus aromas lead
to layers of passion fruit, grapefruit
and gooseberry flavors, followed by
a clean, refreshing finish.

N Campari America has
launched three new additions to
their lineup of single malt
Scotches. All three are bottled
at cask strength and are limited
editions. The Auchentoshan
Valinch 2012 Limited Edition
Vintage is the 2nd bottling of
this limited edition. As
Scotland's only triple-distilled
malt, the Auchentoshan brand is
smooth, the company says, yet
Valinch has a distinct kick due to its cask
strength of 57.2% abv. Its suggested retail
price is $59.99. The Bowmore Dorus Mor
Small Batch Release is a 10 Years Old malt
from Islay, bottled at 55.1% abv, with a suggested retail price of $119.99. Finally, the
Glen Garioch 1986 Vintage is the fifth
expression in Glen Garioch's Vintage range to
date from this small Highland distillery.
There are only 3,000 bottles available for the
entire world. It is 54.6% abv with a $249.99
suggested retail price.
