PRODUCTS & PACKAGING Pernod Ricard USA has launched a new addition to its Kahlua portfolio with the debut of Kahlua Midnight, a 70 proof mix of rum and black coffee liqueur. The taste profile is said to be smooth and bold (from the black coffee) with a slight sweetness. The new expression is positioned to take advantage of the increasing appeal of coffee-flavored products and is meant to be served chilled. Sutter Home has added a Pink Pinot Grigio and a Red Moscato to its extensive lineup of wines. The new Sutter Home Pink Pinot Grigio, very similar to an off-dry rosè, is made from grapes carefully selected from California's premium Pinot Grigio producing vineyards, the company says. On the palate, strawberries and white peach balance well with the Pink Pinot Grigio's crisp acidity, creating a refreshing, offdry finish. Sutter Home Red Moscato combines California Moscato and Merlot. The Red Moscato is rich with strawberry and cherry aromas and lingering sweet berry fruit and rose notes on the palate, the company says. Celebrated Chef Wolfgang Puck's eponymous wine label, Wolfgang Puck Wines, has added a red wine blend to its lineup of four varietal wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc). Available at select retail locations across the country, the wines are created by the Indelicato family, owners of California's DFV Wines. Crafted for accessibility, the wines average $14.99 a bottle suggested retail. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bottle generously donated to the Keep Memory Alive Foundation (KMA) which raises awareness and funds in support of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
