Networking News Local women and businesses on the move Laura Gallagher, president of The Creative Company, a PR and digital media agency, was re-elected to the Retail Advertising and Marketing Association board of directors for a third term. The RAMA board represents the needs of more than 1,500 retail marketing and advertising executives. Leslie Watkins was named marketing coordinator for Hilldale Shopping Center. In her role, Watkins��� responsibilities will include onsite and social media marketing, advertising and all special event and community event programming. Habitat for Humanity of Dane County recently named Julie Grove, a UW-Madison Capital Planning and Development project manager, and Barbara Robins, a marketing consultant, to the 17-member board of directors. Baker Tilly Virchow Krause���s Chief Marketing Officer Tammy Barboni was named ���Top Private Company Marketing Executive��� for 2012 by ranking committee, ExecRank. The committee was impressed with Barboni���s branding, communications and client loyalty programs. Shana Lewis has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Forward Theater Company, a nonprofit resident company at the Overture Center for the Arts. Lewis, a shareholder with Davis & Kuelthau, also works as an attorney in the area. Middleton Outreach Ministry, a nonprofit organization aimed at preventing homelessness and hunger, announced the appointment of Gail Johnson to its board of directors. Johnson, who brings more than 19 years of sales and marketing experience as well as strong local and community knowledge, also works as the corporate relocation manager at Restaino & Associates Realtors. 45 The number of years Madison College President Bettsey Barhorst worked in higher education before announcing her retirement in January. Throughout her career, Barhorst also served as president at a college in Iowa as well as various leadership and teaching positions. Barhorst will retire July 31.
