Equipment Focus | String Trimmers & Edgers Continued from page 29 Turf Teq Model 1305 power edger Turf Teq offers a complete line of self-propelled walking-forward power edgers. Model 1305 is the only self-propelled walking-forward bed opener on the market. With a 13-hp. Honda engine and a 5-inch cutting depth, the machine comes standard with an opening blade to create new landscaping beds or redefine existing beds. A variety of trenching blades are also available as an option. All 3 of these functions — bed opening, bed grooming and trenching — can be performed by simply changing the blade and guard for each application. The power edger features a fully hydrostatic transmission with forward and reverse. The 1305SP has the capability to be converted to a power broom, power rake, brushcutter or plow. Turf Teq, LLC Windmill Model L4320K line trimmer Windmill commercial trimmers and brushcutters offer excellent performance with easy-to-handle, dependable Kawasaki engines. Windmill's close-tolerance components and precision-built shaft assemblies are designed for the commercial user. Windmills are rugged yet lightweight, with well-balanced weight distribution. Model L4320K features a 43.2-cc engine, as well as a 9-inch safety bar molded into the loop handle to provide protection from kickbacks when using metal saw/weed blades. Cutting diameter is 22 inches. Vandermolen Corp. W.E. Trimmer Cover The W.E. Trimmer Cover is designed to individually fit and protect the engines and gas tanks of all weed trimmers, stick edgers, brushcutters and hedge trimmers. The waterproof, abrasion- and tear-resistant cover keeps out all bad weather situations plus excessive dust and dirt. It is available with a choice of no liner for cold engines, cotton liner for warm engines, or an effective heat liner for hot engines up to 600 degrees F. With easy-on/easy-off fasteners, the cover securely attaches to the trimmer rack and can be buckled to other covers. If no rack is available, the cover secures the equipment in place with a strap, keeping it from rolling around. W.E. Chapps, Inc.
