DRINK CULTURE PRODUCTS IMPORTED WHISKY Crown Royal's first flavored whisky, Maple Finished, is now available at a suggested retail price of $24.99. It's created by adding a touch of maple flavor to original Crown Royal whisky through a proprietary maple toasted oak finishing process. The 80-proof whisky includes a bouquet of light, fresh maple combined with the signature caramel and vanilla nose, according to the company. The Balvenie Single Barrel, Aged 12 Years is the newest expression from The Balvenie. The single malt whisky is aged for 12 years in a Bourbon cask and hand-selected for sweetness and subtle vanilla oak. Each bottle is drawn from a single cask of a single distillation, with no cask yielding more than 300 bottles. The non chill-filtered 47.8% ABV Single Barrel has a suggested retail price of $69.99. WINE Luc Belaire has introduced a new sparkling rosé wine, handcrafted from a blend of grenache, cinsault and syrah grapes from the south of France. The new wine comes from Provence-AlpesCote d'Azur, which has a 2,500-year tradition of winemaking. Belaire is available for a suggested retail price of $34.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. Trinchero Family Estates has debuted Echo Bay Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, made from 100% sauvignon blanc, with a Marlborough appellation and a suggested retail price of $12.99. The wine's grapes are gently cold-fermented in stainless steel, the company says. Citrus aromas lead to layers of passion fruit, grapefruit and gooseberry flavors, followed by a clean, refreshing finish. TEQUILA Casamigos Tequila is now available through a sales and distribution alliance with Serralles USA. The tequila was launched by George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, and named after Clooney's and Gerber's houses in Mexico. The 80-proof Casamigos is available at a suggested retail price of $42.99 for the Blanco and $49.99 for the Reposado, both 750-ml. bottles. LIQUEUR Fratello Hazelnut Liqueur is now available from A. Hardy USA. Manufactured in Italy, Fratello is created from toasted Piemonte hazelnuts infused with cocoa, vanilla berries and elderflowers and then blended with honey. The new liqueur, which has a 20% ABV, is available for a suggested retail price of $23.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. 12 | MARCH 2013 CHEERS EDITORIAL ADVISORY BOARD Tony Abou-Ganim Modern Mixologist Timothy Baldwin Assistant Food and Beverage Director The Little Nell Stephen Beaumont WorldofBeer.com Heather Berry Director of Beverage and Bakery Operations The Cheesecake Factory Restaurants, Inc.
