ACGR=Annual Compound Growth Rate. The top-volume Established Growth brand is Sutter Home, featuring an extensive portfolio of offerings, with 2012 sales at just under 10.8 million 9-liter cases. Sutter Home is followed by the well-known Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi, with a lineup of more than a dozen value-priced California wines, which climbed to sales of 8.45 million 9-liter cases last year. New to the list is the Chateau Ste. Michelle portfolio of wines, from Washington State. The brand grew by 10.3% last year to nearly 2.8 million cases. Also new here (moving from the Fast Track category last year) is Trinchero Family Estate���s Menage a Trois lineup. Usually sold for $10 and up, the line features Red Table Wine, White Table Wine, Rose, Chardonnay, Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. The brand hit sales of 2.14 million cases. Also moving from the Fast track to the Established Growth Brand category is Verdi Spumante, the Italian sparkler, which notched sales of 1.3 million cases. Once again, the highest percentage gainer among the Established Growth Brands list includes the premium-priced J. Lohr Estates, which notched a 12.4% increase, to more than 1.2 million cases. Trinchero Family Estates is also represented here by Sycamore Lane, featuring a line of value California varietals (up 7.2% to 658,000 cases). Real Sangria, from Spain, also returns to the Established Growth Brands list, with sales totaling 548,000 cases, a 5.0% gain. And the final Established Growth Brand, new to the category, is Wente Vineyards, with its extensive portfolio of premium to superpremium wines. The brand gained 7.0% in 2012, to attain sales of 415,000 cases. WINE COMEBACK BRANDS A s with the Spirits Comeback Brands, this category recognizes those wine brands of significant volume that saw sales decline two years ago (2011) but which rebounded in 2012. This increase, however, must result in sales totals that are at least equal to or greater than the 2010 sales totals. This year, there is one Wine Comeback Brand: Red Diamond, from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. The Washington Stateproduced line of mostly red varietals, retailing for about $10 per bottle, notched an impressive 12.9% sales increase in 2012, rising 65,000 cases to 568,000 SW cases. COMEBACK BRANDS Recognizes brands of significant volume that saw a sales decline two years ago but which rebounded last year.
