Winter Festival
offers cure for cabin fever

loads of cold-weath-
er and inside activ-
ities, many of them
free.
There's something for
everyone, with camel rides, a
chili contest, sledding, barrel
racing and an ice-carving
contest.
Saturday's
adventures start early
Chilly fun kicks off at 8am
with the BMO Harris Bank
Ice Sculpture Contest, as
talented sculptors mold
ordinary blocks of ice into
stunning works of art.
The 32nd Annual Lion's
Iceburg Golf Open, 9am-
3pm, is in Cedar Creek
Park. Golfers can register at
the American Legion Hall,
W57N481 Hilbert Ave., for
$40 per person (includes
lunch). From 10am-4pm
(weather permitting), there is
sledding at Stephen Fischer
Park and family skating on
Mill Pond.
Jo-Don Farms' camel
rides and a petting zoo are
