2013 MSAE MID-YEAR CONFERENCE A NIGHT AT SOULÉ: MS Industrial Heritage Museum Enjoy an evening packed with more food, atmosphere and history than you could possibly take in! The museum is an ongoing project to restore the Soulé Steam Feed Works Industrial site. This turn-of-the-20th-century factory complex built steam engines and includes a blacksmith shop, foundry and belt driven machine shop. It's a great venue to celebrate in while taking in this important history. MSU RILEY CENTER MSU Riley Center is the backdrop for the Opening Reception, trade shows, educational sessions and technology labs. This state-of-the"ARTS" conference center, educational center and performing arts center is a major downtown restoration project. The MSU Riley Center is located in the heart of historic downtown Meridian, near restaurants and hotels. The MSU Riley Center opened its doors in September 2006 to offer cultural, artistic and educational experiences like no other in the region. The center includes a fully restored 1889 grand opera house theater that seats approximately 950, a 200-seat studio theater and 30,000 square feet of meeting space, including a large exhibit hall, breakout rooms and board rooms, all equipped with teleconferencing capabilities and built-in technical features to create the optimal meeting environment. WEDNESDAY OPENING RECEPTION, TRADE SHOW AND EVENING EVENTS: Enjoy a Taste of Meridian at the Opening Reception showcasing local fare from area restaurants and chefs while strolling through the musical history and current trends along with our Industry Partners as they showcase their properties and services that benefit Mississippi Associations and Non-Profits! 10 The Hilton Garden Inn Invites attendees to an "After Party" at the Northeast Conference Center, located next to the hotel and only a shuttle ride back to Holiday Inn, the other host hotel. HGI promises more snacks, drinks and music to round out the opening night's activities. THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN HIGHLAND PARK This historic park was built by the city in 1908 as a premier streetcar park. Home to the Jimmie Rodgers Museum and the Dentzel antique carousel, it also includes a swimming pool, a duck pond, a recreation center, tennis courts, baseball and softball fields.
