Hamlin-Logano feud heats
up: Joey Logano and Denny
Hamlin were Joe Gibbs Racing
teammates from 2008 through
2012. But any camaraderie they
might have had then vanished
in the first race of the 2013
season. After the Daytona 500,
Hamlin took to social media to
sarcastically discuss Logano's
driving in the season opener.
Logano responded to Hamlin
via Twitter, saying, "I remember
when you were MY genius
teammate. #LoveYouMeanIt."
But there was little love in
Bristol. The two tangled on the
track and on pit road following
the race. Crew members kept
the two from a full-fledged
fight, but we'll be watching this
newest NASCAR rivalry.
If there's anything close to a
sure thing in endurance racing,
it's that Audi will dominate. The
manufacturer did just that at
the latest 12 Hours of Sebring,
taking the top two spots in the
prestigious Florida event. But
there was a twist in the oldest
sports car race in America. The
Audi that took the checkered
flag was a hybrid. So was
the Audi that came in a close
second. Not only was the No. 1
Audi R18 e-tron quattro the first
hybrid car to win at Sebring,
it was the first hybrid win in
the American Le Mans racing
series.
