Parting Words My dear friends, this is the last article I will submit for the IDA Universal magazine. It is said, " ere is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." As you probably know, I am retiring October 1. Can you believe that when I came to the IDA 24 years ago, the records were mostly kept manually, and the black and white newsletter was printed on an old printing press in the back of the offi ce? When I entered that old offi ce for the fi rst time, I saw pictures of attendees from the conventions. My fi rst impression was "I want to be part of this group." On the second visit, then IDA President Ron Clemens hired me. I brought with me some new skill sets and worked hard to make improvements every year. It has been a journey I'll never forget. But now, it is time for someone else with a new set of talents to brave new challenges. ere are hundreds of individuals I would like to thank, but I am fearful I would leave out an important name. So I will just say thank you for smiles, handshakes and hugs, for helping with every convention, for the IDA staff , for renewing my job every year, for teaching me, and for tremendous memories from folks all over the world. From the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you! Only the best wishes for you & yours, Nancy
