Stella Artois Cidre & Roast Turkey Sandwich One recent Saturday afternoon after enjoying the farmer's market, my family stopped into Cooper's Tavern on the Capitol Square for lunch. My choice was a hand-carved roast turkey sandwich stuffed inside grilled marble rye bread and topped with an applepear slaw and Thousand Island dressing. To complement the plate, I ordered the new Stella Artois Cidre. This European-style cider is crisp and refreshing, not too sweet, naturally gluten-free, and has a relatively low calorie count. My first bite introduced the fruit flavors from the applepear slaw which I paired with a sip of the cider. The fresh apple taste created a delectable matrimony of flavors. The cider's effervescence cut through the rich dressing and the hearty grains in the marble rye bread were washed down by the cider's pleasing wood finish.
