Logbook I-5 bridge reopens temporarily The Interstate 5 bridge near Mount Vernon, Wash., over the Skagit River reopened June 19 following a truck's collision with the bridge. WSDOT installed a temporary span, but oversize and overweight loads must detour around the bridge. WSDOT says a permanent fix, which will require full closure of I-5 in the area, should be ready for installation in September.
