BRAND SPOTLIGHT A Room at Fort Knox he Woodford Reserve Room celebrated its grand opening in May, in the Saber and Quill Club at the famous Fort Knox, in Lexington, KY. The special reception highlighted the superpremium bourbon from Brown-Forman. "Even though Fort Knox is an Army installation, we really consider ourselves part of the community and the Commonwealth," said Fort Knox Garrison Commander Colonel Bruce Jenkins. "It's an honor to have an important piece of Kentucky heritage - bourbon - showcased here on the installation." The room reflects Woodford Reserve's image with copper walls, barrels around and above the bar, and images from the distillery. A limited number of engraved Woodford Reserve bottles were sold to the first 100 guests, with the proceeds going to the Army Emergency Relief Fund, which aids active duty soldiers in need of financial assistance. "Over the past 20 years, Brown-Forman has supported our troops and developed a strong partnership with Fort Knox, which makes The Woodford Reserve Room an ideal and appropriate addition to the army base," said Joe Bollinger, Brown-Forman's Director of Military and Transportation. T CROWN IMPORTS AT THE NYSE In what has become an annual tradition, representatives from Crown Imports and Constellation Brands gathered at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in May to ring the Closing Bell, kicking off the start of the summer beer selling season. Constellation and Crown executives and representatives gathered on the podium to preside over the ceremonial close of the day's activities on the trading floor. The group was joined by a mariachi band, which entertained the traders during the bell ringing and at a post-ringing reception. TY KU and Hip Hop Y KU Sake & Spirits co-owner CeeLo Green celebrated his birthday on May 30, as well as his reunion with legendary hip hop group, Goodie Mob, with a listening session for Age Against the Machine, the forthcoming album launch, in New York City. The event was sponsored by TY KU, and ended with CeeLo being presented with a Swarovski Encrusted TY KU Sake Black Bottle – a special, one-of-a-kind CeeLo Birthday edition that spelled out his name in red crystals. Seen here with CeeLo is TY KU Director of Marketing Tara Fougner.
