Life of Bees
For Ellen Geisler, beekeeper and
owner of Kicking Bear Apiaries,
August signals the height of the
honey harvest. It's a time when she
collects the "liquid gold" her bees
have spent the past year creating.
And while a swarm of bees might
send most of us running, that's where
Geisler finds her peace. "My favorite
moment of beekeeping is opening a
hive and getting lost in the sound of
the bees," she says.
