marketplace | continued POWER-PACKED COMPACT Terex's TL 120 wheel loader offers lower exhaust emissions combined with more power and features a 101-horsepower Tier 4 Interim four-cylinder turbo diesel engine with intercooler. The Deutz engine delivers 16 percent more power and 90 percent lower emissions than the previous model. The engine cooling system uses a hydraulically operated fan that starts automatically and can be adjusted down for cooler climates. A reverse function that pushes debris from the radiator is also available. The TL 120 also uses Terex Smart Control, which the company compares to menu guides on smartphones. The system enables the operator to configure the machine precisely to an application, and the intuitive system has a dashboard display that ensures at-a-glance machine operation information. A multi-function joystick has an electro-proportional control circuit with a slow/fast key, and the keypad's large keys enable simplified operation. The improved two-door cab features a reduction in noise levels from 76 decibels to 71 decibels. Service has been simplified by the inclusion of a three-part counterweight that provides easy service access to the engine, and the battery isolator is adjacent to the cab. The engine hood has been redesigned, and a redesigned steering system ensures the wheel turns with less effort. The TL120 has a 15-foot 4-inch turning radius, bucket capacities ranging from 1.57 to 2.35 cubic yards, parallel kinematics, selflocking differentials and an oscillating rear axle. Fast. Easy. Exact. The unit's rack-and-pinion designed delivers 17,000 pound of thrust and 20,000 pounds of pullback force, and a turbocharged 74.5-horsepower Deutz diesel engine produces just 87 decibels noise levels. The drill has an automated carve mode that is both easy to set up and adjust, and reduces operator fatigue. A coordinated makeup feature automatically matches carriage speed with rotation during pipe makeup and breakout, increasing the life of drill pipe joints. A heavy duty anchor system provides stability. The SaverLok System ensures a tight connection and protects against wear and tear on both the drill pipe and drive system. Additional features include TriHawk HD housings and bits, a cruise control system, an auto-throttle that idles after 15 seconds of inactivity, dual rear independent stabilizers, Sauer H1 hydrostatic pumps, an advanced cooling system and a large capacity automatic drill pipe lubrication system. The JT20 is compatible with Ditch Witch's TK Series HDD Guidance System. EW
