XL Specialized Trailers' 110 low-profile
hydraulic detachable gooseneck trailer
features a 110,000-pound total capac-
ity, a five-position variable ride height
on the 13-foot-long gooseneck and a
26-foot-long main deck with 13 chain
slots on each side. The trailer includes
seven bent D-rings lining each side and
heavy-duty removable swing-out outriggers. Upper flange reinforcement on the
front ramp helps provide extra support.

Fully automatic vocational hybrid-drive system
Allison Transmission's H3000 hybridpropulsion system is suited for mediumand heavy-duty trucks in distribution,
refuse, utility and shuttle applications.
The fully automatic parallel hybrid-propulsion system is based on the Allison
3000 Series transmission and is matched
with hybrid system components, includ-
ing a motor-generator, power electronics
and lithium-ion cell battery packs. Scalable to each application, the modular
battery packs are designed to enable an
optimal amount of energy capacity to
be tailored to a specific vehicle or duty
cycle, allowing for greater flexibility and
performance.
The system captures otherwise wasted
energy during vehicle braking and uses it to
assist in vehicle propulsion and powering of
auxiliary equipment. The design features
a torque converter, a fully-automatic transmission and the hybrid motor-generator,
as well as Allison's latest generation of electronic controls designed to further improve
productivity and efficiency, with fuel savings
of up to 25 percent.

Severe-duty retread
Oliver Rubber's XS-T is a drive-position
precure retread for severe on-/off-road applications, appropriate for both single- and
tandem-axle trucks. The retread helps provide
added traction due to its raised block sculpture
and is capable of accepting chains and being
used with a variety of casing types. The selfcleaning tread design is available in 220-, 230and 240-mm sizes. All Oliver retreads carry a
national warranty to 2/32nds of tread depth.
