Patron Spirits has introduced a limited edition expression to its popular lineup of
tequilas: Gran Patron Piedra, an extra anejo tequila aged for three years in new
American and French oak barrels. Piedra, which means "stone," also uses the traditional
Tahona production process, an ancient method for creating tequila. The steam-cooked
agave is slowly crushed with a large Tahona stone
wheel, resulting in juice that is then fermented and

distilled along with the agave fiber.

Tiamo, a line of Italian wines imported by Winesellers,
Ltd. and produced from organically grown grapes, has unveiled
new packaging. Each of the wines, which include Pinot Grigio,
Barbera, Chianti and Prosecco, are in a taller bottle with a simplified label, more accurately reflecting the traditional roots of
the rustic estate vineyards from which they are produced. The
new-look still wines are available nationally at a suggested retail
price of $12, while the Prosecco retails for $15.
