In 2010 she founded "Listen To Your Mother," spawning the series now giving Mother's Day a microphone. DR. KRISTIN SEABORG | "DR. MOM," P. 26 As a busy mother of three young children and a primary care pediatrician at Group Health Cooperative, Dr. Kristin Seaborg knows a thing or two about raising and caring for kids. From a young age, she was certain she wanted to become a doctor. She now gains perspective on the choices we all make when raising our children from her combined experiences as both a parent and pediatrician. EMILY LEAS | "Wellbeing," P. 28 A freelance writer and frequent BRAVA contributor in her spare time, Leas enjoys writing and running as escapes from her hectic eight to five work life. Sandra Knisely | "Deciding Factors," P. 52 Sandra Knisely, a Madison-based freelance writer, has written about science since the fifth grade, when she intrepidly documented a band of pond scum skimmers for a camp newsletter. She especially loves stories about personal and environmental wellness—such as the benefits of eating Mexican grasshoppers. She'd prefer to never talk about that octopus in Croatia ever again, though. She lives with her husband, Jon, and 1-year-old daughter, Sloan Riley. Bobbi adores trying new restaurants and wine, and time with her family outdoors. TODD MAUGHAN | COVER A freelance commercial and editorial photographer based in Madison, Todd Maughan has worked in the field as a freelance photojournalist, in the studio shooting portraits and textiles, and onlocation capturing buildings and landscapes. He considers his camera a passport to places and people he otherwise wouldn't be able to experience. SHANNA WOLF | "MAKEUP MAVEN," P. 24 AND "MIND YOUR BUSINESS," P. 58 Shanna Wolf is a Madison freelance photographer and fashion stylist. She loves her work, and also loves dancing, music, traveling and good food. When she's not shooting or perfecting her closet, you'll find her on the bike path with her little white dog, Elroy, in her bike basket and her boyfriend close behind.
