KELLY JACKSON Jackson is many things: an Ojibwe woman, a member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, a preservation and intergovernmental affairs professional, a mother, a producer, a songwriter since her early childhood days, and a singer who's been performing since the '90s. Jackson, who released her first album, "Spirit of a Woman," in 2012, echoes her appreciation for history and culture in her music while commemorating the contributions native women offer their families, communities and professions.
