Bradco Tree & Shrub Grapple The Bradco Tree and Shrub Grapple by Paladin Attachments can easily remove small trees, shrubs, ornamentals and small stumps — even in tight spaces. A hydraulically-powered alternative to shovels, axes, chains or stump grinders, the Tree and Shrub Grapple attachment reduces job time by effectively removing the whole plant, including the stump, tap and secondary root system, in one simple step. In addition to being easy to use, the Tree and Shrub Grapple keeps clean up to a minimum by leaving dirt, gravel, mulch, etc. in place with minimal disruption to the removal site, which can often be cleaned up with just a broom. The Tree and Shrub Grapple is constructed of 1/2-inch AR 400 and AR 235 high-strength steel for maximum durability for years to come. The grapple attachment weighs 185 pounds with a maximum working pressure (psi) of 3,000 pounds to tackle the toughest applications. Echo CS-271T chain saw The Echo CS-271T chain saw received an upgrade. It now features 8 percent more power, a 19-percent increase in cutting rpm, and a 60-percent decrease in emissions levels. It also has a powerful and durable 26.9cc professionalgrade, 2-stroke engine along with an easy-access, rear-mounted air filter that provides superior filtration for long engine life; an i-30 starting system, which reduces starting effort by 30 percent; a G-Force Engine Air Pre-Cleaner that pulls dust and chips from the air box, providing a clean air supply to the engine; a digital ignition system that automatically adjusts engine timing for optimum performance; an anti-vibration system for reduced operator fatigue; and a side-access chain tensioner for easy chain adjustment. LiftWise RigEm&Roll grapple attachment LiftWise introduced the RigEm&Roll, a patented, remote-controlled grapple that attaches to the load line of a crane for safely grabbing and picking large limbs, eliminating the need to go out on the limbs to set chokers. Constructed of 100,000-psi steel, the RigEm&Roll is independently powered by a self-contained 24-volt battery and hydraulic system. It weighs approximately 500 pounds, and has a lifting capacity of 5,500 pounds. The grapple jaws close using 1,000 psi of force for grabbing limbs up to 20 inches in diameter. Furthermore, the hydraulic cylinders offer fast cycle times and feature integrated check valves, ensuring the jaws remain firmly closed until the operator releases them. Seppi Starsoil multifunctional tiller/crusher The new multifunctional tiller/crusher "Starsoil" completes the range of soil tillers made by the Seppi M. company. This machine is at once stone crusher, forestry mulcher and soil tiller, for 150- to 250-hp. tractors. Versatility is given by the possibility of crushing stones up to 12-inch diameter and wood up to 20-inch diameter and to till the soil up to 14-inch depth. The chassis made of "Hardox" wear-resistant steel and the new generation of patented rotors along with the combination of knives with tungsten carbide tips and holders made of hard metal guarantee long durability. The patented self-alignment system helps the machine follow the contours of the ground and at the same time protects the PTO shaft and the tractor output shaft from being overstressed. The degree of crushing and mulching may be adjusted through the crushing bar and crushing grid. Seppi H-SMWA-K universal hydraulic drive mulcher The H-SMWA-K hydraulic drive mulcher is designed for professional use. Its compact design and wear-resistant construction make it ideal for the conditions under which it must work. It is designed for excavators or hydraulic tractors and prime mowers. Different rotor choices allow the H-SMWA-K to operate in grass, brush or wood. The reinforced construction and wear-resistant materials provide longevity. The rotor can be operated in both directions, increasing the range of materials that the machine will cut. The new hammer will cut grass, hedges and bushes. With the standard rotor the SMW Duo hammer will cut grass and bushes up to 2 inches. In conjunction with the forestry rotor, the SMW Forst hammer will cut and mulch material up to 5 inches. The fixed knife forestry rotor fitted with Mini Blade or Mini Duo hammer will achieve the same result. www.arborage.com Arbor Age / November/December 2013 7
