Letter from the President & Executive Director A Letter From K.C. and Randy The exciting announcement that PeopleNet Communications has agreed to fund a scholarship program to children of teachers and drivers is a landmark statement for us. Their generous gift to the participants of Trucker Buddy means that we are able to give back to some volunteers whom help us every day in fulfilling our mission. The cost of college, technical or driving school is growing every year. These rising costs means that parents need to either use their savings or go further into debt. We hope that starting this scholarship program will help the families that receive the grants and will encourage more young students to extend their post high school education. We hope to grow this fund and help more Trucker Buddy families. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship go to our webpage and send in an application starting October 15th. Trucker Buddy says "Sit in it!" We are giving away two truck seats to drivers who sign up or renew by December 15th. These are really nice seats donated by CVG. The drawing will be after Christmas and the seats shipped after the first of the year. Trucker Buddy of the Month and Outstanding Teachers We are always looking for great drivers and teachers to recognize for their work within the Trucker Buddy program. If you have a driver or teacher whom you want to recognize then be sure to send nominate them. Here are the web pages for nominating them. We are proud of our Trucker Buddies, both drivers and teachers and are some of the most creative people we know. They are inspired to make a difference and can come up with some very creative ways to participate and use the program. We would like to share your innovative ideas with others in the program so that your creativity can be further than just in your match. Please send us your ideas to info@truckerbuddy.org , explaining the ways to save and conserve, gifts, and whatever else you are doing inside the program that you would wish to share.
