The wheel loader has a fuel-efficient, low-noise 156-horsepower Cummins Tier 4 Interim QSB6.7 engine with advanced electronic controls and a self-diagnostic system. The combination of a high pressure common rail system and an advanced in-cylinder combustion technology results in increased power, improved transient response and reduced fuel consumption. The HL740-9A has a 28,000-pound operating weight, 3.0-cubic-yard bucket capacity and a 24,800-pound bucket breakout force. The wheel loader is also available in an extended reach model.
