In this issue… Contributors Jerry Bond received his graduate education in urban forestry from the Urban Horticulture Institute at Cornell and has worked for almost 20 years as an urban forester in both the public and private sectors. His interests and publications include modeling, risk assessment, tree health, storm damage, biomechanics, and computer applications. Ian "Mac" McDermott is the Executive Director of the International Society of Arboriculture United Kingdom & Ireland Chapter (www. isaarboriculture.co.uk) and immediate past Chairman of the Municipal Tree Officers Association (www.mtoa.co.uk). Dane Buell is Director of General Tree Care operations for SavATree and currently serves as Chairman for the ANSI A300 committee. Dane resides in Connecticut with his wife Karen and their four boys. Guy Meilleur is Chair of the ANSI A300 Part 8 subgroup and aerial consultant with HistoricTreeCare.com. Guy writes for Detective Dendro and fights for Truth, Justice and The Arboricultural Way. Want to write for City Trees? Chris Donnelly has been with the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Divison of Forestry since 1998 and has been Urban Forestry Coordinator since 2000. He is a Connecticut Licensed Arborist, is certified by the ISA, and is certified as a Forester by the State of Connecticut. Besides working, keeping bees, and just hanging out, he and his wife live in a 1740s saltbox house, which incidentally also takes up a lot of their time. Chad Giblin is founder of The Arborators, a brass band out of Saint Paul, Minnesota comprised of urban foresters and others in the arboriculture field. Chad is a Research Fellow in the University of Minnesota Department of Forest Resources, where his work involves exploring new species and alternative nursery production and planting practices to enhance establishment and long-term success of young trees in urban and community forests. Gordon Mann is a consulting arborist and urban forester in California, past SMA representative on the ANSI A300 Committee, and was 2013 President of the American Society of Consulting Arborists.
