FAVORITE PARKS Dakota Bark Park 705 Highway 83 Bypass W Your dog will love running free and making friends at Dakota Bark Park. This park features benches and a fenced in area for dogs. It is near Leach Park and also accessible by the Minot Park District recreational trail system. Oak Park 4th Ave W and 16th St N Oak Park is one of Minot’s largest parks with much to enjoy. It offers picnic shelters, a splash pad, sand volleyball courts and Magic Smiles Playground, a new all-abilities inclusive playground. A band shelter here provides a stage for summer concerts. This park also features beautiful, paved trails for walking and bicycling. The trails are fully connected with the city’s entire trail system. Roosevelt Park E Burdick Expy Roosevelt Park is a destination where you could easily spend an entire day. Here, you can find not only picnic shelters, tennis courts, playgrounds and trails, but many things unique to this park. Look for the Roosevelt Park Pool and water slide, Magic City Express train rides, a band shelter and fishing docks on the Souris River. Roosevelt Park also features the acclaimed Roosevelt Park Zoo, botanical gardens, a statue of Theodore Roosevelt and a beautiful memorial to Minot area veterans. Polaris Park 26th Ave NW and 6th St NW This park on Minot’s north end offers a fun recreation with Minot’s disc golf course. It also features a ball diamond, hockey rink with a warming house, tennis courts, picnic shelter and wide open spaces to play. POOLS & WATERPARKS Besides the Oak Park splash pad and the Roosevelt Park swimming pool and water slide, you can find year-round water fun at Splashdown Dakota Super Slides (Dakota Square Mall), the Minot YMCA and many local hotels. TRAILS The Minot Park District maintains an extensive trail system. Nearly 35 miles of existing and proposed future trails provide great walking and bicycling routes through and around Minot. Some of the favorite and most scenic paths loop through Oak Park and Roosevelt Park. Another beautiful route is our 2.5 mile Riverwalk, following the Souris River from downtown to the North Dakota State Fairgrounds.
