Marni McEntee | "WOMEN TO WATCH," P. 37 Marni McEntee is a veteran journalist who moved to Madison in 2011 after working for 13 years overseas as a correspondent, photographer and editor for Stars and Stripes. She has covered stories in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. She lives on the West Side with her husband. ANNE MORRISSY | "WOMEN TO WATCH," P. 37 Splitting her time between Chicago and Williams Bay, Wisc., Anne Morrissy works as a writer, editor and blogger. She is the social media manager for The Apostal Group at Coldwell Banker, and her work has appeared in At the Lake, She Magazine and Today's Chicago Woman, among others. ANN GARVIN | "DELVE IN," P. 20 Ann Garvin is an author, speaker and educator. As a professor of health, stress management, research methods and media literacy at UW-Whitewater, she has worked extensively in psychometrics, statistics and psychology. Ann is also the author of "On Maggie's Watch" and "The Dog Year." AMY CARLSON | "CATALYST," P. 74 Amy Carlson is the weekend weather anchor at NBC 15. She is an admitted fan of forecasting and the challenges that come with Wisconsin weather. A constant at NBC 15 since 1988, Carlson enjoys meeting many different people throughout the community. Married, she's also a mother of two who covets the time she spends with her family. CORY DANE | "SAVOR," P. 64 Corey Dane serves as Madison's Community Director for Yelp, a website and mobile app with user-generated reviews. In addition to writing, partnering with businesses to coordinate hip happenings and sharing his favorite local findings bi-monthly on NBC 15, he eats…A LOT, and is head over heels for the Chocolate Korova from Batch Bakehouse and the Mediterranean Plate at Natt Spil. LISA BAUER | "Skin, Deep," P. 54 Freelance writer and editor Lisa Bauer thrives in Madison with her husband, two children and Marvin (the dog). A dedicated yogini, Lisa also teaches kids yoga just about anywhere she can drag her mats. Lisa enjoys reading good books, eating chocolate, playing outside and helping her daughter take care of their chickens. KATHY BROZYNA | "WOMEN TO WATCH," P. 37 and "GOOD EATS," P. 66 Helping others tell their food stories is Kathy Brozyna's passion. Kathy has recently begun featuring profiles of Madison's chefs and bakers on her blog: Town and Fork at townandfork.wordpress.com. Kathy lives in Madison along with her husband, and their three children.
