CONNECT ENGAGING COMMUNITY Divulge rants+raves + A couple things about the December issue: I loved the cover! Beautiful. So festive without resorting to red and green! Even my husband commented on how striking it was. I thought those pages that had the layout, almost like a board game, of the shops on Monroe, Willy/Atwood, etc. were so attention getting and so easy to decipher. I finally found out where a lot of stores are that I only see ads for! Thanks to whomever was responsible for including my photo from the Fund for Women fundraiser. I didn't realize how many of my friends subscribe to BRAVA until their texts starting coming in, commenting on the photo. It's important for our brand association to be in a publication we feel proud of, and BRAVA is fitting the bill. Thanks. —Teri Venker, director of marketing, Madison Symphony Orchestra + women style substance 'Tis the Season Inspired ideas, holiday events and good cheer >Gift Guide 4 buy-local jaunts 57 shops Endless ideas >holiday style Gem-rich fashion Elegant entertaining +GRatitude The thankful mindset December 2013 $3.95 bravamagazine.com Editor's note: Thanks for your kind words, Teri!, All HAPPENINGS images—including more than what we are able to picture—are available at BRAVAmagazine.smugmug.com. I love the mat I was able to pick out and even purchased another one for myself and one for my mom who is a breast cancer survivor. The ladies at Coyle Carpet were very friendly and helpful. —Tawni Schmeling Correction: In our December issue we erroneously published Stephanie Sieger's name in a Celebrations announcement.
