NARI | Special Advertising Section NARI'S COTY AWARDS The Madison Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI of Madison) hosts an annual Celebrating Excellence Event to present the winners of the Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards. To earn a CotY Award, NARI members can submit any of their recently completed projects into the judging process. The contractor company enters their project(s) into one of the 28 different categories. These categories range in specialty and project cost and include groups from bathrooms under $20,000 to entire house remodels over $1 million. The submitted projects are then judged by members of a fellow NARI chapter and awards are presented at the Celebrating Excellence Event. NARI is aware that the efforts of several companies may be needed to complete a remodeling project, and seeks to recognize all member companies that participated. When a CotY project is entered as a Team Entry, all NARI member companies involved (suppliers, service providers, etc.) can enter as one team and receive recognition together. All CotY Award entries are stunning, well executed projects. CotY Award winners, though, go beyond the visual aesthetics to clearly define how they (and their team members) overcame challenges throughout the course of the project. In their entries they explain that, despite these challenges, they were able to fulfill the homeowner's or company's requests and complete a beautiful, sound project. A CotY Award winner has proven their ability to creatively and efficiently solve their project's remodeling challenges. Companies—from one-person shops to the largest remodeling firms—report that winning a Contractor of the Year Award is a major factor in enhancing their image within the industry and with prospective customers, and is a major morale booster for their employees.
