N George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey has launched a new extension to its portfolio: George
Dickel No. 1. No. 1 is an unaged whiskey, 91 proof, that features a creamy, soft flavor and finish,
the company says. It joins George Dickel No. 8, George Dickel No. 12, George Dickel Barrel
Select and George Dickel Rye. Distributed nationwide beginning this month, George Dickel No.
1 has a suggested price of $21.99 for a 750 ml

N Tequila el Jimador has launched a package
with a new premium design, meant to match the
quality of the 100% agave tequila, the company
says. The revamped bottle features an
embossed illustration of the iconic Jimador,
a figure representing the dedication to
craftsmanship displayed by the master agave
harvesters. The body of the bottle has been slightly
modified to make it sleeker. Some of the other design
changes include a bigger bottle size, smaller streamlined,
colored metallic label design to showcase more of the premium tequila, and uniform caps, all aimed at creating a
better presence on the shelf.
N This month, Miller Lite is releasing a
limited-edition Original Lite Can, an
updated version of the iconic packaging that changed the
beer industry almost 40 years ago. The Original Lite
Can features the familiar images of hops, barley and the
words "a fine pilsner beer." The Original Lite can
appears in the upcoming Paramount
Pictures' release, Anchorman 2: The
Legend Continues. The limited-edition
Original Lite Can will be available
nationwide January through March in
12-, 16- and 24-ounce sizes.

N Makers of the well-known 7 Deadly Zins, Michael
David Winery launched a new namesake brand. The
Michael David Winery brand includes a Chardonnay
($16) and Sauvignon Blanc ($16), to be distributed
nationwide. The winery also has plans for a Michael
David Winery red varietal, in 2014. The Chardonnay is
a balanced wine with ripe tropical fruits and good natural acidity. It is certified under the Lodi Rules Program
for Sustainable Wine Growing. The Sauvignon Blanc is
cold fermented in stainless steel and is a bright, clean
wine, the company says.
