NEWS AND TRENDS AHR Expo Sets New Attendance Record at 2011 Las Vegas Show The combination of an improving economy and the inaugu- ral Las Vegas location proved to be a winning hand for the 2011 AHR Expo held Jan.31-Feb. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More than 54,000 registered HVACR professionals (over 34,000 attendees and 20,000 exhibitor personnel) filled the aisles of the 63rd AHR Expo to see all the latest products and innovations on display from 1,938 exhibiting companies. In addition to becoming the largest Western AHR Expo in the Show’s 80-year history, this year’s event was also the largest Show ever held outside of Chicago or New York. The 1,938 exhibiting companies also rank as the second largest number for any Show. Included in the record-breaking num- ber of exhibitors were over 200 first-time exhibitors and near- ly 400 international companies from 31 different countries. The success of the Show was as much about the quality of attendees as the quantity.
