RANTS+RAVES I want to thank you for publishing on the important issues of cervical cancer, HPV and sexuality ("Hitting Below the Belt" and "Great Expectations," February 2014). The articles were fabulous. The issues of survivorship are becoming more important as we develop better treatments for these cancers. As women learn to live beyond their cancer, there are a host of issues that arise. Sexuality after cancer is not discussed enough in the mainstream media, but patients often do not feel fully recovered until sexual health is restored. –David M. Kushner, MD, director, gynecologic oncology; director, Womens Integrative Sexual Health Clinic—Carbone Cancer Center; professor of obstetrics and gynecology; University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health I had a wonderful time at the Women to Watch celebration. Thanks so much for having and hosting such a great event. Thanks also for including me in the Women to Watch 2014 issue—I was very surprised but have appreciated it so very much. –Meg Lubner, MD, UW abdominal radiologist and assistant professor The February issue was impressive. I really like the editor's note. –Poonam Rao, Celebrations Art Studio I never had the radical hysterectomy like it says in your story ("Hitting Below the Belt," Febru- ary 2014). I went in for hysterectomy surgery—and to my shock and surprise—one cancerous lymph node was found immediately and the hysterectomy cancelled. I still have my cervix, uterus and ovaries inside my body; they were later fried to the point of nonfunction after all the radiation I endured. –Suzanne S., cervical cancer survivor 2014 BRAVA Woman to Watch Melissa Seymour has a new comic book, "Female Force: Barbra Streisand," published in Feb- ruary. The Female Force series examines the lives of influential women and looks to them as role models. This the third comic Seymour has written for the series. 2013 BRAVA Woman to Watch Michelle Wildgen's third novel "Bread and Butter" is off the Doubleday press. It's filled with foodie intrigue and humor as it follows the rivalry of three brothers in competing restaurants. We're also waiting to hear when the film based on her novel "You're Not You," will be out! "Vintage," the debut novel of Monona writer Susan Gloss, was published in March by Harper Collins. It's set in Madison and revolves around a vintage clothing store, the tales behind its goods, the women who meet there, and their stories of friendship and possibility. Care about women's health?
