To construct the Green Cities site, our team (including graduate students supported by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009/Stimulus funds) has mined the extensive research literature on urban greening and wellness. The research findings are organized using twelve themes: Community Building Community Economics Culture and Equity Active Living Crime & Fear Safe Streets Place Attachment & Meaning Wellness & Physiology Healing & Therapy Mental Health & Function Work & Learning Reduced Risk Above: Our busy lives make many demands on our ability to pay attention and process information.
