The organization is funded by the distillers: Bacardi U.S.A., Inc.; Beam, Inc.; Brown- Forman; Constellation Brands, Inc.; Diageo; Hood River Distillers, Inc.; and Pernod Ricard USA. "Our mission to lead the fi ght against drunk driving and underage drink- ing is stronger than ever," said Ralph Blackman, President and CEO of FARR. "We're excited to continue building upon the good work we've done over the past 23 years and fi nding new ways to connect with parents, teens and teachers online to promote a lifetime of conversations around alcohol responsibility." Pernod Ricard announced an agreement to purchase a leading Sonoma wine brand – Kenwood – and related assets from F. Korbel & Bros. Included in the sale are all assets of the Kenwood Vineyards brand including the trademarks, inventory, winery facilities and estate vineyards, as well as additional acreage of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Syrah, Malbec, Pinot Blanc and Petite Sirah planted throughout Sonoma County. The Kenwood winery operations will be man- aged by Pernod Ricard Winemakers, the premium wine division of Pernod Ricard. The deal is expected to close on or before June 30, 2014…. Sidney Frank Importing has been named as the exclusive importer and distributor of Casamigos Tequila in the U.S. and the Caribbean. Casamigos Blanco and Reposado Tequilas are 80 proof and available in a 750 ml with a SRP of $44.99 and $49.99 respectively…. Gruppo Campari has agreed to purchase Ontario, Canada-based Forty Creek Distillery for $185 million. Forty Creek Barrel Select Canadian Whisky has been in the U.S. market for several years, and while its sales volume is relatively modest, the superpremium brand has been growing at a fast pace. John Hall, founder of Forty Creek, is remaining as chairman and whisky maker at the company, according to the agreement. The deal includes Forty Creek's stocks, distillery facilities and the hospitality centre in Grimsby, Ontario. Besides Forty Creek Canadian Whisky, the company also produces vodka, brandy, rum and other liqueurs…. O'Neill Vint- ners & Distillers and Cecchetti Wine Company have formed a strategic partnership to combine the winemak- ing and sales functions of their respective national wine brands. The combined national portfolio will feature Cecchetti brands Austerity, Backhouse, Exitus, Line 39 and Redtree as well as O'Neill labels Camelot, Martin & Weyrich (Moscato Allegro), Pepi and Tin Roof Cellars. The partnership will operate under the O'Neill Vint- ners & Distillers banner. Terlato Wines established a partnership with Bodegas Valdemar to import its wines from the Spanish appellation of Rioja into the U.S. Terlato will feature wines from two Bodegas Valdemar lines: Conde de Valdemar and Inspiracion Valdemar… Serrallés USA and Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur today established a long-term, co-operating U.S. sales and marketing partnership. The addition of Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur further broadens Serrallés USA's portfolio that now includes Don Q Rums, Caliche Rum, Palo Viejo, Death's Door Spirits, Wondermint and Krin- gle Cream Liqueur. Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur is handcrafted in Brooklyn, NY, and uses more than 200 lbs. of fresh ginger per batch with no artifi cial fl avors, colors or preservatives. It is rolling out now in select Northeast markets, and is available in 750 ml ($31.99 suggested retail) and 375 ml sizes ($19.99)…. Bill Foley and Foley Family Wines announced the purchase of The Four Graces, producer of Oregon Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc in the Dundee Hills of Oregon's Willamette Valley…. Bryan Crowley was named President and COO at VeeV Spirits…. Fetzer Vineyards announces that Cindy DeVries has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Offi cer of Fetzer Vineyards….Trin- chero Family Estates named Mark Dunlea as director of marketing, focusing on key brands Ménage à Trois and SeaGlass. He will report to senior vice president of marketing, Dave Derby…. Flora Springs Winery and Vineyards appointed Sean Gallagher to the position of director of national sales reporting to COO Steve Tamburelli…. Southern Comfort launched an online contest, called "Go Drink Yourself," where SoCo con- sumers can create their own cocktail, enter it in the con- test, and share it on the site (www.southerncomfort.com/ drink-yourself). The entrants with the 10 most popular drink recipes then win a "mug of their mug," a unique handcrafted mug designed to look just like the person. The site provides a variety of options to customize the drink recipes. Southern Comfort debuted an online contest called "Go Drink Yourself."
