created this suburban oasis in Great
Falls, Virginia, with multiple outdoor rooms. Features
include a pool with a built-in spa, fi re pit, elegant deck and
twin-peaked structures that house an outdoor kitchen, lounge,
fi replace and luxurious seating.
Left: To completely make over this backyard, Primarily
Landscapes added 40 tons of fi ll, 20 tons of rocks to
adjust the grade and a pond with three water features.
These features include a pondless waterfall, upper pond
with stream and lower pond and stream. There are also
pond lights and "fl oating" boulder stepping-stones that
lead to the fi replace patio.

and an 80-foot-long main run, Timm Construction
Company's water feature includes about 150 tons of boulders – some
up to 5,000 pounds each. Specialty evergreen trees, shrubs and
deciduous plants surround the rushing water. At night, 50 24-volt
lights illuminate this Dubuque, Iowa, feature.
