AGGREGATES MANAGER July 2014 8 Higher production contractor crushers Kleemann's new Mobirex MR 110 ZSi EVO 2 and MR 130 Zi EVO 2 represent the next evolution of its contractor line with en- hancements focused on economy and operational safety. Crusher inlet openings of 43.3 inches (MR 110 ZSi EVO 2) and 51 inches (MR 130 Zi EVO 2) provide feed capacities of up to 350 or 450 tons per hour, respectively. The 'S' unit includes a secondary vi- brating screen with extra-large screening surface mounted on the discharge conveyor. The screen can produce spec material and potentially eliminate the need for a separate screen. The feeding unit has hydraulically folding hopper walls and locking system, which speeds setup. A vibrating double-deck prescreen between the hopper and crusher eliminates fines from the product flow before they enter the crusher, reducing wear and fuel costs. Both units are Tier 4 Final compliant and use direct drive crushers and electric drives for the vibrating conveyors, belts, and prescreen. Kleemann | www.wirtgenamerica.com Portable or stationary dewatering KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens has added the S9000 Dewatering Screen to its lineup. It can reduce moisture content of washed sand down to as low as 8 to 15 percent. Avail- able in multiple sizes ranging from 2 by 7 feet up to 8 by 16 feet, its 1,200-rpm motors generate up to 1/4-inch stroke to provide the G-force action needed to separate water from the material. It is equipped with urethane media, has an adjustable incline from 0 to 5 degrees, and can be packaged in portable, semi-portable, and stationary systems. KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens | www.kpijci.com More horsepower Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc.'s HL780-9A wheel loader features a 351-horsepower Cummins QSX11.9 Tier 4 interim engine. It has three engine modes: power mode for heavy-duty work; standard mode for general work; and economy mode for light-duty work. The loader is also equipped with a fully automatic transmission designed for minimum power loss, im- proved travel speed, and low noise. It has an operating weight of 66,800 pounds, a bucket capacity of 7.1 cubic yards; and a bucket breakout force of 52,360 pounds. An extended reach model is also available. Operator comfort is addressed in the newly redesigned cab, which features rounded front glass, larger door glass, climate control, a tilting and telescoping steering column, and a 5.7-inch touch screen color monitor. Hyundai | www.hceamericas.com Portable fragmentation analysis Motion Metrics offers PortaMetrics, a patent-pending, point- and-shoot portable tablet that provides fragmentation analysis of the desired scene without the need for any reference scaling object. It combines a 3-D imaging sensor with a processing unit to provide accurate fragmentation information in a matter of seconds. Users can switch between a single view image and multiple image view to access information including rock size distribution, individual rock size and distance, real-time range measurement, instantaneous slope measurement, device orien- tation sensing, and more.
