T
he National Alcohol Beverage Control Association
used the forum of its 77
th
National Conference, held
at the Marriott Marco Island Resort, in Marco Island,
FL, to emphasize the importance of both protecting and
serving the communities within their control jurisdictions.
In his "Letter from the Chairman," NABCA Chairman
of the Board Jeff Anderson, noted that "control systems
are charged with multiple and diverse tasks. They must
protect their citizens from the harmful and illegal use of
beverage alcohol and they must serve their customers
in an effi cient and modern business environment. We
submit these tasks are not contradictory, but in fact are
complementary." He noted that the NABCA Conference
would be addressing both of these concerns.
