6 SEPTEMBER 2014 GOOD FRUIT GROWER www.goodfruit.com The joy of harvest C herry growers Bob and Carol Brown say it's a joy to see the smiles on the faces of these unbelievably hard- working Rainier cherry crew members. Camden Wheatcroft, 19, is from Wenatchee and attends the University of Washington, where he plans to major in chemical or electrical engineering. Casey Boullioun, 35, has been a general contractor for 14 years, building houses and running heavy equipment. He likes to take time out in the summer to help neighbors with harvest for a change of pace. His parents have orchards in Oroville, Washington. José Rodriguez, 16, is a student at Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee and works as a swamper all summer, moving from orchard to orchard with the harvest. Nick Haas, 19, is studying for an associate's degree in science at Wenatchee Valley College. He loves working in the orchard, removing reflective mulch from Rainier cherry blocks, and getting muddy.
