29 AGGREGATES MANAGER September 2014 Fletcher's Graphic Operator Angle Display (GOAD) system uses sensors on the boom and feed mechanism that display hole angles and depth of drilling on an in-cab moni- tor for accurate boom and feed alignment for precise hole placement and direction. Designed for precision with both burn patterns and V-cut drilling patterns, the system calculates the proper depth for a flat blasted face and retracts the rock drill when the correct calculated depth is reached. In operation, the company says it has seen a 30-percent improvement in the tonnage blasted as well as significant savings in fuel, blasting agents, drill steel, and bits. J.H. Fletcher & Co. | www.jhfletcher.com More commonly known by its former name of Ranger, Sandvik's DX series surface top hammer drill rigs feature a revolving superstructure enabling large drilling coverage from the standard 189 square feet to 248 square feet. The unit is equipped with a low-consumption and emission 225-horsepower Tier 4 Final Cat 7.1 engine. Using DPF technology with a common rail-type fuel injection system, it is able to produce high torque with lower RPM level. The standard level of 1,800 has dropped to 1,600 revolu- tions per minute, yielding significant fuel savings. On average, fuel consumption has been reduced 1.45 gallons per active hour. Sandvik | www.sandvik.com Minnich Manufacturing's A-1Q deep hole drill can be mounted on a variety of carriers, including excavators and skid loaders for quarrying, anchoring, and tie-back applications. The 1,000-pound A-1Q-72 features a 110-inch mast height and 64 inches travel, while the larger 1,200-pound A-1Q-96 features a 140-inch mast height and 88 inches travel height. Both units feature rail leveling with a hydraulic cylinder, which allows 90 degrees of rotation and up to a full 360-degree rotation when the cylinder is repositioned. Both units can be outfitted with an optional dust collection system. Using half as much fuel as similar rigs, the Atlas Copco FlexiROC T45 also comes with 50 percent fewer hoses and 70 percent fewer couplings for easier maintenance and reduced risk of leakage. 800-732-6762 www.atlascopco.us 7H[W,1)2WRRUYLVLWZZZDJJPDQFRPLQIR
