PROGRESSIVE
LOAD SPRING
Hendrickson's Progressive
Load Spring for its Haulmaax
vocational rear suspension
system is an elastomeric
spring that works with the
rubber bolster springs in the
company's Vari-Rate Spring
system to facilitate improved
ride quality in both loaded and
unloaded conditions. The PLS
is engaged continuously to help improve
unloaded ride performance. As payload
increases, the spring further engages and
functions together with the bolster springs
to help provide additional stability. The
load spring's constant engagement also
helps eliminate the need for shim adjust-
ments for most applications.

LOW DROPDECK
East's XLD dropdeck trailer has a
36-inch deck height designed for
increased payload versatility and a low
center of gravity for improved stability
for loads that are more unusual in size
and shape. An all-aluminum one-piece
neck with no bolts or steel reinforce-
ments helps reduce weight, while a
patented double-contour neck design
helps reduce stress in the transition
area for greater strength and longer
life. The dual-T main beam and
a proprietary crossmember design
provide added strength. The XLD is
available in multiple axle confi gura-
tions in lengths up to 53 feet; options
include built-in tarp storage.
