Pay
Con-way TruCkload's
enhanced driver compensa-
tion package includes a per-
mile pay increase for new-
hire experienced drivers to
42.5 cents per mile and an
incentive bonus where driv-
ers can earn an additional
1.5 to 3 cents per mile on
miles driven over the previ-
ous 12 months from their
anniversary date. The Joplin,
Mo.-based company also
increased layover pay from
$60 to $75 per day.
Chattanooga, Tenn.-based
u.S. XpreSS increased its
base mileage pay for over-
the-road solo, nondedicated
truck drivers by an average
of 13 percent.

Green Bay, Wis.-based
SChneider updated the web-
site of its Schneider Finance
subsidiary, SFITrucks.com,
to be mobile-friendly, allow-
ing owner-operators looking
to lease or purchase new or
used trucks to complete a
