Collier, who graduated this year, said. "This is my rst
LPGA event and it was such an exciting quali er."
Collier, along with Meadow, Pancake and Kirby,
was part of Alabama's 2012 National Championship
team.
"I think we de nitely have a very special connec-
tion and special situation," Pancake, a 2012 gradu-
ate said. "I don't know if that's the case for every
collegiate team but we were very, very close."
The foursome had a close bond in school and still
do, even if the game is no longer a team sport.
"Everyone wants to play well but we always want
each other to play well too," Kirby, who graduated in
2013, said. "It's di erent but we always wish
each other the best because it's a lot bigger than
just golf."
Meadow, who graduated earlier this year, has
already had a successful 2014 campaign as she

nished third at the U.S. Women's Open in June.
She nished T-19 in Prattville, boosting her earnings
to over $285,000 for the year, which would be good
for 39th on the money list were she a member of the
LPGA Tour. As it is, she will head to "Q" School next
week as she tries to earn her card for 2015 that way.
Suh, a two-time All American and 2007 gradu-
ate, and Kathleen Ekey, a two-time All American and
2010 graduate, also both made the cut, as did Pan-
cake, who is currently in 86th place on the money list
with winnings of $112,000, good enough for her to
keep her card for next year. Kirby was the odd one
out as she missed the cut and concluded the last
full eld event of the season in 111th place on the
money list, good for partial tour status next year.
