Ritter's many years of sales and marketing experi- ence with manufacturers, distributors and sales representatives will strengthen UTILITY's exemplary customer service. "I'm looking forward to Fred continuing to maintain and enhance the fantastic customer service, that UTILITY's customers are accustomed to," said Vin Kotowski, National Sales Manager of UTILITY. The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute is the trade association representing manufacturers of air conditioning, heating and commercial refrigeration equipment. AHRI provides regular reports on the sales of a variety of equipment. Residential Storage Water Heaters • U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters for July 2014 increased 7.5%, to 318,733 units, up from 296,623 units shipped in July 2013. Residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 9.9% in July 2014, to 314,283 units, up from 286,013 units shipped in July 2013. • U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters for August 2014 decreased 4.0%, to 322,536 units, down from 335,909 units shipped in August 2013. Residential electric storage water heater shipments decreased 8.5% in August 2014, to 299,023 units, down from 326,805 units shipped in August 2013. • U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters for September 2014 increased 9.5%, to 365,132 units, up from 333,392 units shipped in September 2013. Residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 17.2% in September 2014, to 356,724 units, up from 304,310 units shipped in September 2013. • For the year-to-date, U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters increased 3.5%, to 3,279,008, compared to 3,169,378 units shipped during the same period in 2013. Residential electric storage water heater shipments increased 5.4% year-to-date, to 3,130,659 units, compared to 2,970,038 units shipped during the same period in 2013. Commercial Storage Water Heaters • Commercial gas storage water heater shipments increased 1.2% in July 2014, to 7,128 units, up from 7,043 units shipped in July 2013. Commercial electric storage water heater shipments increased 8.1% in July 2014, to 6,122 units, up from 5,665 units shipped in July 2013.
