I t's time to finalize your plans to attend the AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo, which is, once again, co-located with the World of Asphalt. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, through Thurs- day, March 19, at the Baltimore Convention Center. AGG1 focuses exclusively on the aggregates industry and offers education sessions from industry experts in virtually all segments of the aggregates industry, in- cluding operations, health and safety, environmental, reclamation, automation, management, leadership, and sales and marketing. More than 350 exhibitors will dis- play their equipment over 130,000 square feet of exhibit space. In addition to traditional equipment exhibitions, a New Products & Technology Program allows exhibitors to highlight innovations on display. During downtime, attendees can visit Baltimore's In- ner Harbor, which is just a few blocks from the Baltimore Convention Center, see historic ships, or visit the National Aquarium, among other local attractions. Educational opportunities AGG1 Academy will offer more than 50 expert-led edu- cational sessions and seminars ranging from beginners classes that teach the basics to seminars that explore advanced concepts and technologies. The sessions are organized into five focused areas: • Operations and Production; • Environment, Safety & Health; • Automation, Tech, and Software; • Leadership; and • Business Management. The purchase of a Full Conference Pass ($620 on site) includes admission to education sessions, as well as ac- cess to the exhibit hall. A Three-Session Pass ($315 on site) includes admission to three education sessions and access to the exhibit hall. A Single-Session Ticket ($95 on site) provides admission to one education session only; a show badge ($70 on site) is not included and must be purchased for admission to the exhibit hall. A tour of Bluegrass Materials' Texas Quarry, in Cock- eysville, Md., will also be offered on Monday, March 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The plant provided material for one of the most recognizable landmarks in the nation's capital — the Washington Memorial.
