4 Oil Prophets As all of you are setting your goals for the New Year, your directors and staff at P&CMA are doing the same for 2015. Starting with the Gulf Coast Food & Fuel Expo in March, we are expecting a large crowd to attend this new and improved three state regional show. There will be some very interesting speakers with educational topics that will be relevant to our industry. We will have a large number of vendors this year with a wide variety of new products that we can use in our businesses. Some of the Major Oil Companies will be having brand meetings during this event; and don't forget the Golf Tournament at Fallen Oaks. Please make every effort to attend this year so that Alabama will be well represented at this new expo. As I stated at the General Membership Meeting in December, I am in the process of forming a Retail Committee. This committee will focus on providing information and education to our members that operate stores. I think this is very important due to the constant changes in our industry so that we can stay on the forefront of new ideas. For example, paying attention to what the National Chains are doing to remain SUR¿WDEOHFDQEHJRRGLQIRUPDWLRQIRU a small chain or single store operator. If anyone is interested in serving on this committee, please contact Bart at WKH$VVRFLDWLRQ2I¿FH In addition to this new committee, I would like the Board of Directors to evaluate all of our annual events to insure that we are staying relevant to the current needs of members. What worked 25 years ago is not necessarily the best thing today. Along these same lines, our Association needs to consider new ways to provide services for our members that can generate revenue so that we can continue to keep our dues reasonable. I am always open to suggestions that will improve our organization. Please contact me if you have any ideas. I am looking forward to serving you this year.
