This is an interesting specimen throughout its life cycle
and demonstrates a respectable range of hardiness
Zones (5 to 8) for planting. Short internodal growth of
City Sprite is supposed to limit the amount of young
tree training and structural pruning required—some-
thing that is often a drawback with the V-shaped crotch-
es of zelkova.
