November To-Do List: We all want to go somewhere • We all want to be something • How about being here and being real? • Life is about give and take • When you feel silly, take a moment to laugh • Rake up the last of the leaves in your yard. Borrow a few from the neighbors. And jump in • When you feel angry, give yourself space • Play fetch with your dog and dance with your kids (they always have the best moves) • When you feel tired, take a break • Play hooky for a day • Or just take five • Close your eyes • Relax your jaw • Welcome the silence • Add to your gratitude list each day • Repeat after us: "I'm grateful for _______" • Make room to celebrate • And make room for the best part of Thanksgiving—leftover turkey sandwiches! • Embrace it all flows into one another • Remember: Right outlook = Right the seasons' change • Year after year, intention = Right action, speech, effort… we could go on • That way you can say you're always right (as well as brilliant and beautiful, by the way) • So, you never thought you'd be here • Turning older • Turning into your mother • But being here and being real aren't so bad • The harvest is over but that doesn't mean we stop growing • Bloom where you are planted ••• November 2011 87 Celebrate your Holidays in Vintage Style!
