Networking News The YWCA Madison announced that Rachel Krin- sky will take over as CEO in December. Krinsky, who worked for 12 years as executive director of The Road Home Dane County, replaces retiring CEO Eileen Mershart. Local women and businesses on the move Dr. Kathryn Griswold recently joined the team of dentists at Monona Dental, S.C. Griswold is a third- generation dentist. Cherish Schwenn has been hired as the new executive director of the Wisconsin Ready Mixed Concrete Association. Schwenn brings more than 12 years of trade association experience to her new role. Gov. Scott Walker has made two appointments to the Wisconsin Women's Council, a state agency that works to identify barriers preventing Wisconsin women from receiving needed services. Michelle Mettner (left) of Madison has been ap- pointed as the Governor's designee to the council and Mary Jo Baas (right) of Brookfield has been appointed the council's chair. Madison Children's Museum has been awarded the 2011 National Medal for Museum and Library Service, a once-in-a-lifetime honor for any museum or library and the first won by any Wisconsin muse- um. The Children's Museum, headed by Executive Director Ruth Shelly, will receive $10,000 for the honor, which will be used to support its Access for Everyone program bringing those with economic, physical or other barriers to the museum. Stafford Rosenbaum announced that Marney Hoefer has joined their team of attorneys as a senior associate. Hoefer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and focuses her practice on environmental law and governmental affairs. Madisonians Receive Kudos for Community Service Attorney Lynn Bodi and her law partners Carol Gapen and Judith Sperling-Newton will receive the 2011 Angel in Adoption award, honor- ing their commitment to improving the lives of children in need of permanent homes. Meanwhile, United Way of Dane County recently honored the Steinhauer family with the Tocqueville Society Award, recognizing the family's contributions in local business and nonprofit capacities.
