WRAP UP SCARF AN ENSEMBLE IN PERFECT Sure, scarves keep you warm, but they are also one of easiest ways to add a bit of interest or a touch of color to any outfit. With four scarves just sitting in her closet, Jillene Luedtke, a 55-year-old office associate, has been looking for ways to use this versatile accessory. "I got the scarves to dress up with, but then I didn't know what to do with them. I would wear it one way but then I'd go out and see women wearing them all these different ways," she says. Our solution: The layered look is perfect for any office dweller, letting you bundle up as needed. On Luedtke, dark neutrals are great for accessorizing with a lightly hued scarf. Play around with different knots to find one that that flatters your personal style. Here, a classic tie that falls below the neck felt just right, offering snuggly comfort but a look proper enough for professional attire. Blouse, $56, cardigan, $46, trousers, $56, ear- rings, $27, bracelet, $50; CJ Banks, Greenway Station, Middleton; (608) 831-1134. "Neva" flats by Lulu Townsend, $50; DSW, Greenway Station, Middleton; (608) 831-7766. k 70 Scarf style: A bulkier top may call for a shorter, tight- ly knotted scarf and at least a hint of neck peaking out while a sleeker top pres- ents more possibilities—try a fringed scarf draped across your décolleté or a nubbier knit wrapped close for a cozy look.
