Competitions included the Barista Challenge hosted by the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe – Singapore Chapter and the Latte Art which drew 30 contenders from Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia. Hiroko Hana from New Zealand (pictured above) won the Barista competi- tion besting representatives from 12 countries. Tomoko Yamamoto of Japan and Terence Tan of Singapore placed second and third. Attendance was up 16%. There were 1,600 exhibitions covering 140,000 square meters in 14 halls reflect- The 2014 China Barista Championship (CBC) drew 43 regional winners representing 24 cities.
