Food & Hotel Asia
Asia's largest biennial food and hospitality tradeshow in
drew 64,826 attendees to 3,213 exhibits in April,
occupying a record 102,000 square meters. Exhibitors
from 64 countries participated and 43% of those in
attendance were from overseas. The four-day Singapore
show was the 19th edition since 1978.
The Specialty Coffee & Tea event was the first to
integrate tea and coffee with exhibitors displaying a range
of equipment, coffee, tea and accessories. Competitions
included the Barista Challenge hosted by the Specialty
Coffee Association of Europe – Singapore Chapter and
the Latte Art which drew 30 contenders from Singapore,
Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia. Hiroko Hana
from New Zealand (pictured above) won the Barista competi-
tion besting representatives from 12 countries. Tomoko
Yamamoto of Japan and Terence Tan of Singapore placed
